MEN - BIG & TALL

These are barong tagalog for the big and tall gentlemen. The first beige barongs go up to PH size 6XL or 7XL. The colored barongs and a few others go up to PH 4XL. Please note: Our barongs are authentically made in the Philippines and Filipino sizes are usually one size smaller than most Western sizes.

Just because you’re a bit on the bigger or taller side, it doesn’t mean you can’t wear a Filipino barong tagalog. In fact, we’ve made Big & Tall barongs ever since the start of our business many years ago. One time, we even made a barong that was size 15X-LARGE. Yes, you read that right…it was a barong that was 15 times regular PH size Large. We are keeping the measurements of that barong for the likes of Shaquille O’Neil.

Many of our barongs are stocked up to PH 4X-Large (or US 3X-Large). We also have some designs up to PH Size 7X-Large (or US 6X-Large). Some things to keep in mind when purchasing a bigger barong are:

• You may want to get one with Full-Open buttons. These are the barongs that open in the front all the way. Most barongs are Half-Open, which, as the label suggests, only opens half way. Half-open barongs are usually harder to put on, so a Full-Open barong is a much more convenient type of barong to order for bigger or taller people.
• The camisa de chino, the traditional undershirt for the barong tagalog, is usually not sold in sizes past PH 3XL (US 2XL). What we recommend is a tight-fitting plain white t-shirt under the barong instead. Of course, if you want to express yourself further, you can try different colors or patterns under the barong as well, but the classic white T-shirt is a safe choice for any occasion.
• As mentioned earlier, many of our customers come in different shapes and sizes, so a better fit for their barong tagalog is to order a CUSTOM ORDER one. This does take 4-6 weeks for delivery (depending on the design and fabric), but it is well worth the wait of getting a barong that fits you well. Just make sure to plan ahead of your special event.
